There are so many theories and techniques to perfect your golf swing today, it is rather simple for someone to develop a golf training aid. Training aids are implemented to help you isolate certain mechanical parts of your golf swing so that you can feel what it is like to be in those positions. They are a definite advantage to the golfer who knows how to use them properly. The problem lies in trying to find the one that is right for you.

With all the revenue spent in advertising and marketing these training aids, it can be very difficult for the golfer to choose the right one. Remember that many of these are gimmicks. If you do come across one that you thoroughly believe in and it does help your swing then stay with it!

You cannot physically take training aids to the golf course especially if you are in competition. However, if you have trained with it properly, you will be able to mentally take it with you to the golf course.

In order to practice with the training aid that is right for you, dedicate a little time at the golf driving range on a regular basis. Remember, consistent practice will help you achieve a consistent golf game. Three days a week, 15 minutes a day doing the right thing will give you the confidence to carry over the golf training aid to the golf course. While practicing with the training aid that is right for you at the practice driving range you can and will develop a consistent golf image. Then, without using the training aid on the golf course you will automatically feel and picture your correct golf swing.

Training aids were developed from a golfer's key swing thought. Unfortunately, the key swing thought works for that particular person who developed the training aid. It does not necessarily work for everyone! So caveat emptor (buyer beware)!
